On Thursday, 4th of August, the State Border Guard officers had detected 62 offenders at the external borders and inside the country.
At the external borders 37 border offenders were detected, including:
- 13 foreigners were refused entry to Latvia
At the Terehova and Grebņeva three Uzbekistan citizens because the foreigners did not have a valid visa or residence permit, as well as to three Moldovan citizens, because the foreigners could not justify the purpose of their entry and stay. The persons were returned to the country of departure.
- Eight foreign nationals were found in breach of the conditions of residence
Five Ukrainian, one Kazakhstan, one Georgian and one Belarussian citizen were found at the Grebneva, Paternieki, Silene and Riga Airport border control points in breach of the conditions of residence (overstayed visa or visa-free period, absence of valid visa or residence permit) in Schengen area countries. They were held administratively liable.
Five persons were found in breach of the rules on entry or residence during immigration control measures within the country: two Lithuanian, two Uzbek and one Estonian citizens.
For infringements in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels, State Border Guard officials held 20 persons administratively liable or refused to cross the border - seven Belarusian, three Latvian, two Lithuanian, two Moldovan, two Kyrgyz one Ukrainian, one the United Kingdom’s citizen.
