From 20 to 21 November, General Guntis Pujāts, Chief of the State Border Guard, participated in the Frontex's 77th Management Board meeting, which took place in the Polish capital - Warsaw.
During the meeting, the Chief of the State Border Guard told the Management Board members about the 100th anniversary of the State Border Guard and briefly introduced the history of the State Border Guard.
At the end of his speech, the General awarded with the State Border Guard Jubilee Sign "Latvian State Border Guard 100" Mr Fabrice Leggeri, Frontex Executive Director, and Ms Aija Kalnāja, Frontex Capacity Building Division Director, for their special contribution to the development of the State Border Guard and significant support to the State Border Guard during consideration of important issues at Frontex as well as with a view to the 100th anniversary of the State Border Guard.
Following the award, Mr F.Leggeri thanked the Chief of State Border Guard for the award and high assessment, welcomed the achievement of the State Border Guard in 100 years, as well as wished to continue developing the State Border Guard as persistently and actively as has already proved to be.
