On Sunday, December 11, 2022, officials of the State Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia detected 32 offenders at external borders and within the country.
20 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
- entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused to 3 foreigners
at the Terehova, the Grebņeva and the Pāternieki Border Control Points, entry into the Republic of Latvia was refused to one citizen of Moldova, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, to one citizen of Ukraine, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid travel document, as well as to one citizen of Moldova for security reasons. Persons were returned to the country of departure.
- conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen Area were violated by 5 foreigners
two citizens of Russia, one citizen of Moldova, one citizen of Ukraine and one – of Belarus were detected at the Terehova, the Grebņeva, the Silene and the “Riga” Airport Border Control Points for violating the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen area (exceeded the duration of stay specified in a visa, were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit). Persons were subjected to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country, violations of entry or residence conditions were detected for one citizen of Estonia.
Within the framework of vehicle and vessel operations, 11 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused the right to enter the Republic of Latvia by officials of the State Border Guard of Latvia – four citizens of Belarus, two - of Kirgizstan, one - of Uzbekistan, one – of Russia,
