On Tuesday, December 13, 2022, officials of the State Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia detected 37 offenders at external borders and within the country.
19 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
- entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused to 7 foreigners
at the Silene, the Vientuļi and the „Riga” Airport Border Control Points entry into the Republic of Latvia was refused to four citizens of Armenia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; to one citizen of Serbia, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of his entry and stay; to one citizen of Kazakhstan, as the foreigner was unable to certify that he will leave the territory of the Schengen zone countries on time; as well as at the Grebņeva Border Control Point one more citizen of Russia was banned from entry into the Republic of Latvia for security reasons.
- conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen Area were violated by 2 foreigners
one citizen of Ukraine and one – of Kazakhstan were detected at the Grebņeva and the „Riga” Airport Border Control Points for violating the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen area (exceeded the duration of stay specified in a visa or visa-free regime). Persons were subjected to administrative liability.
- exit from the Republic of Latvia was refused to 1 citizen of Latvia
at the „Riga” Airport Border Control Point, one citizen of Latvia, departing for Manchester without valid for travelling to Great Britain documents, was detected. The person was banned from leaving the country.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country, violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to two foreigners: one citizen of Ukraine and one – of Uzbekistan.
Within the framework of vehicle and vessel operations, 16 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused the right to enter the Republic of Latvia by officials of the State Border Guard of Latvia – three citizens of Belarus, three – of Kazakhstan, three – of Ukraine, two - of Kirgizstan, two – of Latvia, one – of Lithuania, one – of Moldova and one – of Finland.
