On Saturday, December 3, 2022, officials of the State Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia detected 47 offenders at external borders and within the country.
23 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
- entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused to 3 foreigners
at the Grebņeva, the Pāternieki and the “Riga” Airport Border Control Points, entry into the Republic of Latvia was refused to one citizen of Armenia and one citizen of Belarus (female), as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, as well as to one citizen of Russia for security reasons. Persons were returned to the country of departure.
- conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen Area were violated by 5 foreigners
three citizens of Georgia, one citizen of Kazakhstan and 1 citizen of Uzbekistan were detected at the Silene and the “Riga” Airport Border Control Points for violating the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen area (exceeded the duration of stay specified in a visa-free regime or in the visa, were not in possession of valid visas or residence permits). Persons were subjected to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country, violations of entry or residence conditions were detected for three foreigners - for one citizen of Sweden, one – of Lithuania and one – of Great Britain.
Within the framework of vehicle and vessel operations, 21 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused the right to enter the Republic of Latvia by officials of the State Border Guard of Latvia - ten citizens of Belarus, three - of Latvia, two - of Kazakhstan, two - of Uzbekistan, one – of Russia, one - of Serbia, one – of Germany and one – of Lithuania.
