On Thursday, February 22, a visit of delegations of foreign missions to the State Border Guard College (SBGC) and the territorial boards of the State Border Guard (SBG) took place, the representatives of 17 different European countries, the European Commission, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Chief of the State Border Guard, General Guntis Pujāts, participated in the visit.

During the visit, the SBGC introduced to the foreign delegations the activities of the SBGC and the College's classrooms, Museum, Professional and Tactical Training Centre and the Dog Handling Centre of the Dog Handling Service, where the dog training process was demonstrated to the guests.

Delegations from foreign missions were also welcomed at the Opoļi Border Guard Unit of the Ludza Board of the State Border Guard, where the guests visited the duty on officer’s rooms, video surveillance system laboratories and were shown technical means, armaments and the fence on the Latvian-Russian border. The guests also visited the Terehova I Category Border Control Point of the Ludza Board of the State Border Guard.

Finally, the representatives of the delegations visited the Aviation and Special Operations Board of the State Border Guard, where they were acquainted with the day-to-day operation and the equipment of the Board.

During the event, the representatives of the delegations thanked General Guntis Pujāts, Chief of the State Border Guard, and officials of the State Border Guard for their cooperation, exchange of information and valuable experience.
