On Saturday, October 10, officials from the State Border Guard on the external borders and inside the country identified 20 offenders.
11 border offenders have been identified at the external borders, including:
- Five foreigners are denied entry to Latvia
Three Ukrainian and two Brazilian nationals were denied entry to Latvia at the border inspection post of Riga airport, as foreigners had violated regulation No. of 9 June 2020. .360 “epidemiological security measures to limit the spread of Covid - 19 infection” requirement s. Persons returned to the country of exit.
- One Latvian citizen is prevented from leaving the country
One Latvian citizen, who did not have a valid travel document, was identified at the border inspection post of Riga airport. . The person has been denied an exit from the State.
In the framework of immigration control measures within the country, infringements of the entry or residence rules have been identified for three persons, two Estonian and one Russian national.
Officials of the State Border Guard have called for administrative responsibility for violations in the field of the operation of vehicles and vessels or have refused to cross the border to six persons – two Lithuanian, two Latvian, one Belarusian and one Russian citizen.
