On Sunday, October 11, officials from the State Border Guard on the external borders and inside the country identified 21 offenders.
12 border offenders have been identified at the external borders, including:
- Five foreigners are denied entry to Latvia
Entry to Latvia at the border inspection post of Riga airport was denied to one citizen of Georgia because the foreigner was unable to justify the purpose and conditions of entry and residence, as well as four citizens of Georgia, because there is a ban on entry and residence in the territory of the countries of the Schengen area. Persons returned to the country of exit.
- Residence conditions violations detected for five foreigners
The border inspection post at Riga airport identified five Georgian citizens who had breached the conditions of stay (over visa-free stay) in the Schengen area. . Persons are held to administrative responsibility.
In the framework of immigration control measures within the country, infringements of the entry or residence rules have been identified for one citizen of Azerbaijan.
Officials of the State Border Guard have called for administrative responsibility for violations in the field of the operation of vehicles and vessels or have refused to cross the border to eight persons – two citizens of Latvia, two Lithuania, one Belarusian, one German, one Russian and one Kazakh.
