On Friday, October 16, officials from the State Border Guard on the external borders and inside the country identified seven offenders.
Two border offenders have been identified at the external borders: two foreign nationals have been found to violate the conditions of residence. At the airport Riga border control point identified two Georgian citizens who had breached the conditions of stay (over visa-free stay) in the country of the Schengen area. Persons are held to administrative responsibility.
In the framework of immigration control measures within the country, infringements of the entry or residence rules have been identified for two persons, one Estonian and one Uzbek citizen.
Officials of the State Border Guard have called for violations in the field of the operation of vehicles and vessels to administrative responsibility or have refused to cross the border with three persons - two Latvian and one Belarusian citizen.
