On Thursday, October 8, officials from the State Border Guard on the external borders and inside the country identified 27 offenders.
17 border offenders have been identified at the external borders, including:
- Entry to Latvia is denied to 10 foreigners
Four citizens of Georgia were denied entry to Latvia at the border inspection post of the airport “Riga” and Pathermen because foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry and residence, for one citizen of Georgia, because the foreigner was barred from entering and staying in the territory of the countries of the Schengen area, as well as for four Ukrainian and one French national, because the foreigners were in violation. - Breach of residence conditions found for one third-country national
One Russian citizen found at the border inspection post in Grewneva who had violated the conditions of residence (over the duration of the visa) in the countries of the Schengen area. . The person has been held to administrative responsibility.
In the framework of immigration control measures within the country, breaches of the entry or residence rules have been identified for four persons, two Russian, one Tajikistan and one Ukrainian national.
Officials of the State Border Guard called for administrative responsibility or refused to cross the border to six persons – three Belarusian, one Russian, one Lithuanian and one Estonian national.
