On Thursday the 5th of April, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 42 offenders at external borders and within the country.

At the Grebneva Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukrain was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, at the Paternieki Border Control Point 6 citizens of Ukrain were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country, 1 citizen of Belarus, as the foreigner was not in possession of health compulsory insurance policies and 1 citizen of Ukrain, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen area, and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukrain was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen area. Persons were returned to the countries of exit.At the Grebneva, Paternieki and "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Kyrgyzstan, 2 - of Ukrain and 1 - of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, were not in possession of valid visas or residence permits), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.At the Terehova and "Riga" Airport Border Control Point have been detected 1 citizen of Latvia and 1 non citizen of Latvia without valid travel documents, and 1 minor Latvian citizen, who was not in possession of notarially certified agreement of the second parent for his independent travelling outside Latvia. Departure from country have been refused for the mentioned persons.While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 7 persons - 4 citizens of Ukrain and 3 - of Russia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 8 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Estonia, 1 - of Ukrain, 1 - of Latvia, 1 - of Germany and 1 - of Belarus.
