On Saturday the 6th of April, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 42 offenders at external borders and within the country.
23 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
1 citizen of Russia with forged documents was detectedAt the Grebņeva Border Control Point a citizen of Russia leaving Latvia, who presented forged Kirgizstan Vehicle Registration Certificate, was detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations was commenced, the person was handed over to the State Police officers.
2 persons, who are on the police wanted list, were detainedAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, entered Latvia from London, who is on the Police wanted list, was detected. While at the Port of Ventspils, carrying out passenger profiling, 1 citizen of Sweden entered Latvia from Sweden, who is on the Police wanted list, was detected. The men, born in 1975 and 1987, were detained and handed over to the State Police officers.
6 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Grebņeva Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 5 citizen of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 5 foreignersAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 3 citizens of Russia and 2 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 4 persons - 2 citizens of Estonia and 2 - of Russia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 15 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 6 citizens of Russia, 4 - of Belarus, 2 - of Latvia, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Estonia and 1 - of Ukraine.
