On Sunday the 7th of April, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 40 offenders at external borders and within the country.

25 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Kazakhstan with forged documents was detected

At the Grebņeva Border Control Point 1 citizen of Kazakhstan leaving Latvia by truck with trailer, who presented forged Bulgarian International Vehicle Insurance Policy, was detected. The forged document was seized, the parson was subject to administrative liability.

3 persons, who are on the police wanted list, were detained

At the Port of Ventspils, carrying out passenger profiling, 3 citizens of Latvia entered Latvia from Sweden, who are on the Police wanted list, were detected. The men, born in 1991, 1967 and 1964, were detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

7 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the "Riga" Airport, the Terehova and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 5 citizen of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states; as well as 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 2 persons - 1 citizen of Lithuania and 1 - of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 13 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Latvia, 3 - of Russia, 2 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Kirgizstan, 1 - of Uzbekistan and 1 - of Ukraine.
