Events at the state border and within the country - April 11, 2019

On Thursday the 11th of April, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 47 offenders at external borders and within the country.

24 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

5 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the "Riga" Airport and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 2 citizens of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid travel document, as well as 2 citizens of Ukraine and 1 - of Georgia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. Violations of resident conditions were detected to 3 foreigners

At the Grebņeva and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Russia and 1 - of Uzbekistan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 6 persons - 3 citizens of Belarus, 2 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Lithuania.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 17 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Latvia, 3 - of Lithuania, 3 - of Russia, 2 - of Belarus, 2 - of Estonia, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Uzbekistan and 1 - of South Africa.
