On Saturday the 13th of April, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 34 offenders at external borders and within the country.
12 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
• 5 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia
At the Terehova Border Control Point 2 citizens of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 3 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
• Violations of resident conditions were detected to 3 foreigners
At the Terehova Border Control Point 2 citizens of Russia and 1 - of Kazakhstan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 3 citizens of Estonia and 2 - of Lithuania.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 17 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 6 citizens of Latvia, 5 - of Lithuania, 2 - of Ukraine, 2 - of Belarus, 1 - of Kirgizstan and 1 - of Russia.
