On Sunday the 14th of April, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 38 offenders at external borders and within the country.
23 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
• 12 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia
At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, and 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. While at the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 6 citizens of Georgia and 4 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 10 persons - 5 citizens of Lithuania, 4 - of Estonia and 1 - of Uzbekistan.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 5 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Latvia, 2 - of Russia and 1 - of Belarus.
