On Monday the 15th of April, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 23 offenders at external borders and within the country.
12 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
• 3 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia
At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid travel document. At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia (woman) was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and he was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 4 persons - 3 citizens of Lithuania and 1 - of Estonia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 7 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Belarus, 2 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Armenia and 1 - of Latvia.
