On Thursday the 15th of April, 2021 the State Border Guard's officials detected 37 offenders at external borders and within the country.

5 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

  • 1 person with forged documents was detected

At Terehova Border control point 1 citizen of Lithuania entered Latvia with Covid-19 test that does not correspond to the samples available to the State Border Guard was detected . Administrative proceedings have been initiated against the person.

  • 1 person, who are on the police wanted list, was detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 non-citizen of Latvia entered from Amsterdam, who is on the police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1996 was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

  • 1 foreigner was refused entry into Latvia

At the “Riga”Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of USA was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner violated Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 360 "Epidemiological precautions to control the spread of Covid - 19 infection". Persons were returned to the exit countries.

  • Violations of resident conditions was detected to  foreigner

At the Airport “Riga” Border Control Points 1 citizen of Cameroon, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (was not in position of valid visa or residence permits), was detected. Person was subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 23 persons – 12 citizens of Latvia, 2 – of Estonia, 2 – of Romania, 2 – of Uzbekistan, 2  - of Germany, 1 – of Belarus, 1 – of Lithuania and 1 – of Georgia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 9 persons were subjected to administrative liability or was refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard – 5 citizens of Belarus, 1 – of Estonia, 1 – of Bulgaria, 1 – of Kyrgyzstan and 1 – of Turkey.
