On Tuesday, 24th April 2018, officials of the State Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia have detected 42 offenders at external borders and within the country.
18 trespassers were detected at external borders, from whom:
• entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused to 5 foreigners:
At "Paternieki" and "Riga" Airport Border Control Points entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused to 3 citizens of Ukraine and 1 citizen of the Republic of Belarus, as persons could not justify the purpose and circumstances of the entry and stay, as well as they had insufficient financial resources to stay in Schengen area, additionally 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused the right to enter territory of Latvia, for whom entry to the Schengen area was prohibited. Persons were returned to the country of exit.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country, violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 9 persons - 4 citizens of Estonia, 2 citizens of Lithuania, 2 citizens of Russia and 1 citizen of India.
Within the framework of vehicles and vessels operation, the State Border Guard's officials detected offences committed by 15 persons - 5 citizens of Russia, 4 citizens of Latvia, 1 citizens of Lithuania, 1 citizen of Finland, 1 citizen of Serbia, 1 citizen of Germany, 1 citizen of Ukraine and 1 citizen of Moldova.
