On Wednesday, April 25 2018, officials of the State Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia have detected 20 offenders on both external borders and within the country.
13 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
• 1 citizen of Latvia, who was on wanted list, was detained:
At Airport "Riga" Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, traveling from East Midland, who was on State Police's wanted list, was detected. Person, born in 1994, was detained and handed over to officials of State Police.
• residence regulation violations were detected for 2 foreigners:
At Airport "Riga" Border Control Point 1 citizen of India was detected as well as 1 under aged citizen of Russia, who have violated residence regulations in the Schengen area (were not in possession of valid visas or residence permits) were detected. Citizen of India is subject to administrative liability, in case of citizen of Russia, administrative offense against her was not initiated.
• entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused to 2 foreigners:
At "Paternieki" and Airport "Riga" Border Control Points 2 citizens of Ukraine were refused the right to enter the Republic of Latvia, as these persons were not in a possession of valid visas or residence permits. Both citizens of Ukraine were returned to the country of exit.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country, violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 2 citizens of Russia, 1 citizen of Belarus, 1 citizen of Lithuania and 1 citizen of Estonia.
Within the framework of vehicles and vessels operation, the State Border Guard's officials detected offences committed by 12 persons - 4 citizens of Russia, 4 citizens of Lithuania, 1 citizen of Estonia, 1 citizen of Germany, 1 citizen of Belarus and 1 citizen of the Netherlands.
