Events at the state border and within the country - April 28, 2019

On Sunday, the 28th of April 2019 State Border Guard's officials detected 40 offenders at external borders and within country.

27 of border trespassers were detected at the external borders, inter alia:

At the border control points "Grebņeva" and "Pāternieki" entry into territory of the Republic of Latvia has been refused for 1 citizen of Russia and 1 citizen of Belarus as foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. At the border control point in the Riga International Airport entry into the Republic of Latvia has been refused to 1 citizen of Georgia due to denial of entry in Schengen area. All persons returned to the country of departure.

At the border control point in the Riga International Airport detected 2 citizens of Georgia, 1 citizen of Russia, 1 citizen of Iran, 1 citizen of Japan and 1 citizen of Kazakhstan who violated conditions of the residence in Schengen area (invalid visa or residence permit, exceeded in visa allowed period of stay, etc.). All persons except citizen of Russia (due to a minor of offense), had been subjected to administrative liability.

Performing immigration control activities within the country violation of entry or residence conditions into the Republic of Latvia have been detected for 3 citizens of Lithuania, 1 citizen of Estonia and 1 citizen of Russia.

Violating terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and water transport the State Border Guard of Latvia detected 8 persons - 3 citizens of Russia, 2 citizens of Ukraine, 1 citizen of Belarus, 1 citizen of Estonia and 1 citizen of Lithuania.
