On Thursday the 8th of April, 2021 the State Border Guard's officials detected 51 offenders at external borders and within the country.
9 trespassers were detected at external borders:
- 2 persons with forged documents were detected
During immigration control, in Valka 2 citizens of Estonia entered Latvia with forged Covid-19 tests. The persons were subject to administrative liability.
- 2 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia
At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia and 1 – of Izrael were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners violated Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 360 "Epidemiological precautions to control the spread of Covid - 19 infection". The persons were returned to the exit country.
- Violations of resident conditions were detected to 3 foreigners
At the Pāternieki and Airport “Riga” Border Control Points 1 citizen of Belarus, 1 – of USA and 1 – of Great Britain, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (was not in position of valid visa or residence permits, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. Persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 37 persons – 13 citizens of Latvia, 7 – of Romania, 5 – of Estonia, 4 – of Ukrain, 3 – of Lithuania, 2 – of Russia, 1 – of Belarus, 1 – of Kazahstan and 1 – of Uzbekistan.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 5 persons were subjected to administrative liability or was refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard – 2 citizens of Russia, 1 – of Kazahstan, 1 – of Estonia and 1 – of Belarus.
