On Wednesday the 1st of August, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 60 offenders at external borders and within the country.

27 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 person, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia entered Riga form Doncaster, who is on the police wanted list, was detected. The woman, born in 1988, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

5 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 2 citizens of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country. While at the Pāternieki Border Control Point 2 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 1 foreigner

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Azerbaijan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), was detected. The person was subject to administrative liability.

2 Latvian citizens were refused exit from Latvia

At the Silene Border Control Point 1 minor citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of notarially certified agreement of the parents for her independent travelling outside Latvia, was detected. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of a valid travel document, was detected. The persons were refused exit from country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 10 persons - 3 citizens of Lithuania, 2 - of Estonia, 2 - of Georgia, 2 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Moldova.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 23 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 9 citizens of Russia, 4 - of Estonia, 3 - of Lithuania, 2 - of Latvia, 1 - of German, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Serbia, 1 - of Poland and 1 - of Belarus.
