On Thursday the 2nd of August, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 35 offenders at external borders and within the country.
25 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
4 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Grebņeva Border Control Point 2 citizens of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport and Border Control Points 1 citizen of Belarus and 1 citizen of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 4 foreignersAt the Grebņeva, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Kazakhstan and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 2 citizens of Russia was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.
1 Latvian citizen was refused exit from LatviaAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia (woman), who was not in possession of a valid travel document, was detected. The persons were refused exit from country.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 3 persons - 1 citizen of Lithuania, 1 - of Georgia and 1 - of Russia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 7 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Lithuania, 2 - of Latvia, 1 - of Austria and 1 - of Estonia.
