On Sunday the 5th of August, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 48 offenders at external borders and within the country.
26 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
6 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 3 citizens of Azerbaijan were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. At the Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country. While at the Pāternieki Border Control Point 2 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 9 foreignersAt the Terehova, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 3 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Georgia, 1 - of Belarus, 1 - of Moldova, 1 - of Australia, 1 - of Uzbekistan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Georgia, 1 - of Moldova and 1 - of Belarus was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 4 citizens of Lithuania and 1 - of Russia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 17 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Belarus, 3 - of Russia, 3 - of Latvia, 2 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Tajikistan, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Uzbekistan and 1 - of Estonia.
