On Monday the 5th of August, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 40 offenders at external borders and within the country.

26 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 foreigner with forged documents was detected

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Kirgizstan leaving Latvia car, who presented forged Slovak Vehicle Registration Certificate, was detected. Criminal procedure was initiated for the use of forged documents. The forged document was seized within the framework of the criminal procedure.

2 persons, who are on the police wanted list, were detained

In the Riga passenger Port and at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 non-citizen of Latvia, entered the country from Sweden, and 1 citizen of Latvia, entered the country from Dublin, who are on the Police wanted list, were detected. The men, born in 1990 and 1980, were detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

2 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Pededze Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid health insurance policy. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 8 foreigners

At the Terehova, the Grebņeva, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 3 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Uzbekistan, 1 - of Belarus, 1 - of Argentina, 1 - of Israel and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Russia, 1 - of Argentina and 1 - of Belarus was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 minor citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of the second parent's notarially certified authorisation for his independent travelling outside Latvia, was detected. The person was refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 2 citizens of Russia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 12 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 6 citizens of Belarus, 3 - of Latvia, 2 - of Russia and 1 - of Estonia.
