On Tuesday, 7 August, officials of the State Border Guard at the external borders and within the country detected 45 offenders.
At the external borders 23 offenders were detected, including:
Detected 1 citizen of Belorussia with forged documents
At Silenes Border Control Point detected 1 citizen of Belorussia entering Latvia by car who presented forged Belorussian vehicle technical inspection certificate. Criminal proceedings have been initiated on the use of false documents.
At Pāternieku and Silenes Border Control Points entry to the country was denied to 4 citizens of Ukraine as the foreigners were not able to justify the purpose and conditions of entry and stay and did not have sufficient livelihoods for visiting Schengen countries. Meanwhile at "Riga" airport Border Control Point entry to the country was denied to 1 citizen of Georgia as the foreigner had already stayed 90 days from the last period of 180 days in the territory of Schengen states. Persons were returned to the country of departure.
At Pāternieku and "Riga" airport Border Control Points 3 citizens of Belorussioa, 1 of Ukraine, 1 of Georgia and 1 of Russia were detected who had violated residence regulations in the territory of Schengen states (did not have valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the stay period indicated in visa). Persons were subjected to administrative liability.
Exit from the country denied to 2 personsAt Grebņevas and "Riga" airport Border Control Point detected 1 citizen of Latvia and 1 citizen of Sweden , who didn't have valid travel documents. Persons were denied to leave the country.
Immigration control measures inside the country, violations of entry or stay regulations were detected to 7 persons - 3 citizens of Estonia, 2 of Lithuania, 2 of Russia.
Within the framework of vehicles and vessels operation, the State Border Guard officials detected offenses committed by 15 persons - 5 citizens of Belorussia, 4 of Lithuania, 3 of Russia, 1 of Estonia, 1 of Ukraine and 1 of Latvia.
