On Sunday the 9th of August, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 34 offenders at external borders and within the country.
27 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
• 1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detained
At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia leaving the country, who is on the Police wanted list, was detected. The man was detained and handed over to the State Police Officers.
• 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into Latvia
At the Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The person was returned to the exit country.
• Violations of resident conditions were detected to 12 foreigners
At the Pedeze, the Terehova and the Grebņeva Border Control Points 12 citizens of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (did not possess valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Administrative sanction was not imposed.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 7 persons were subjected to administrative liability (or were refused to cross the border) by officials of the State Boarder Guard - 3 citizens of Belarus, 2 - of Latvia, 1 - of Italy and 1 - of Montenegro.
