On Saturday the 10th of August, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 46 offenders at external borders and within the country.
24 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
8 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Pāternieki and the Silene Border Control Points 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; 2 citizens of Ukraine, 3 - of Georgia and 1 - of Belarus were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Cyprus (female) was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid travel document. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 3 foreignersAt the Terehova, the Grebņeva and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 3 citizens of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Russia was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 citizens of Lithuania.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 17 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 8 citizens of Russia, 3 - of Belarus, 2 - of Lithuania, 2 - of Latvia, 1 - of Croatia and 1 - of Ukraine.
