On Sunday, 12 August, officials of the State Border Guard at the external borders and within the country detected 75 offenders.

At the external borders 45 offenders were detected, including:

Detained 1 citizen of Latvia in search

At "Riga" airport Border Control Point detected 1 Latvian citizen arriving from Moscow, who was in police search. Man, born in 1981, was detained and handed over to the State Police officials.

Entry to Latvia was denied to 15 foreigners

At Terehovas Border Control Point entry to the country was denied to 1 citizen of Belorussia as the foreigner did not have valid visa or residence permit. Meanwhile at "Riga" airport Border Control Point entry to the country was denied to 3 citizens of Georgia and 11 citizens of Ukraine as the foreigners were not able to justify the purpose and conditions of entry and stay and did not have sufficient livelihoods for visiting Schengen countries. Persons were returned to the country of departure.

Breach of the stay requirements identified to 4 foreigners:

At Terehovas and Grebnevas Border Control Points 3 citizens of Russia and 1 of Uzbekistan were detected who had violated residence regulations in the territory of Schengen states (did not have valid visa, exceeded period stated in visa). Persons were subjected to the administrative liability.

Exit from the country denied to 1 citizen of Latvia

At "Riga" airport Border Control Point detected 1 citizen of Latvia, who did not have valid travel document. Person was denied to leave the country.

Immigration control measures inside the country, violations of entry or stay regulations were detected to 11 persons - 10 citizens of Lithuania and 1 of Estonia.

Within the framework of vehicles and vessels operation, the State Border Guard officials detected offenses committed by 19 persons - 5 citizens of Russia, 3 of Lithuania, 5 of Latvia, 2 of Estonia, 1 of Germany, 1 of Kazakhstan, 1 of Sweden and 1 of Ukraine.
