On Monday, 13 August, officials of the State Border Guard at the external borders and within the country detected 43 offenders.
At the external borders 14 offenders were detected, including:
Entry to Latvia was denied to 3 foreignersAt "Riga" airport Border Control Point entry to the country was denied to 1 citizen of Iran as the foreigner did not have valid visa or residence permit. Meanwhile at Pāternieki Border Control Point entry to the country was denied to 2 citizens of Ukraine as the foreigners were not able to justify the purpose and conditions of entry and stay and did not have sufficient livelihoods for visiting Schengen countries. Persons were returned to the country of departure.
Breach of the stay requirements identified to 4 foreigners:At "Riga" airport and Pāternieku Border Control Points 2 citizens of Belorussia, 1 of Kazakhstan and 1 of Ukraine were detected who had violated residence regulations in the territory of Schengen states (did not have valid visa, exceeded period stated in visa). Administrative proceedings in administrative violation case were not initiated to citizens of Ukraine and Kazakhstan, other persons were subjected to administrative liability.
Immigration control measures inside the country, violations of entry or stay regulations were detected to 7 persons - 2 citizens of Lithuania, 2 of Russia, 1 of Ukraine, 1 of Finland and 1 of Estonia.
