On Thursday the 13th of August, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 33 offenders at external borders and within the country.

9 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

• 4 foreigner were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia and 2 - of Belarus were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners did not possess valid visa or residence permit. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Georgia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

• 1 citizen of Belarus with forged documents was detained

At the Silene Border Control Point a Belarusian citizen entering Latvia by car was detained on suspicion of using a forged Belarus Technical Inspection Sticker. Criminal proceedings were initiated for the use of forged documents. The man was applied non-custodial security measure.

• Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreigners

At the Grebņeva and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 2 citizens of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (did not possess valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay specified in the visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or
residence conditions were detected to 11 persons - 5 citizens of Lithuania, 2 - of Latvia, 2 - of Estonia and 2 - Ukraine.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 13 persons were subjected to administrative liability (or were refused to cross the border) by officials of the State Boarder Guard - 3 citizens of Belarus, 2 - of Latvia, 2 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Germany, 1 - o f the Netherlands Lithuania and 1 - of Mongolia.
