On Wednesday the 15th of August, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 39 offenders at external borders and within the country.
20 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
1 person, who is on the police wanted list, was detainedAt the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia entered Latvia from Russia, who is on the police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1954, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.
5 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 4 citizens of Ukraine and 1 citizen of Georgia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 1 foreignerAt the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), was detected. The person was subject to administrative liability.
At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 minor citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of notarially certified agreement of the second parent for her independent travelling outside Latvia, and 1 citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of a valid travel document, were detected. The persons were refused exit from country.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 4 persons - 1 citizen of Lithuania, 1 - of Estonia, 1 - of Turkey and 1 - of Belarus.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 15 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Russia, 4 - of Belarus, 3 - of Latvia, 2 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Estonia.
