On Saturday, the 17th of August State Border Guard officials at the external border within the country detected 35 offenders.

At "Riga" airport Border Control point detected one Latvian non-citizen, who was traveled from Istanbul, but at Pāternieku Border Control point detected one Belarussian citizen who was traveled out from Latvia, who is in search of the police. Men born in 1982 and 1988 were detained and handed over to the State Police.
At Grebņevas Border Control point entry in to Latvia was denied to 2 Kazakhstan citizens, because foreigners had not have valid visa or residence permit. Meanwhile at "Riga" airport Border Control point's entry in to Latvia was denied to one Russian citizen, because foreigner is subject to a ban on entering and staying in the Schengen area. Person were returned to the country of departure.
At Teherovas, Pāternieku and "Riga" airport Border Control points detected 6 Russian, one Kazakhstan and one Ukraine citizen, which was violated residence regulations in the territory of Schengen area. (didn't have valid visa or residence permit or exceeded the stay period in visa) Against to the one citizen of Russia decision initiated administrative proceeding have not had begun. The other persons have been called to administrative liability.
