On Monday the 19th of August, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 41 offenders at external borders and within the country.
26 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
1 person, who is on the police wanted list, was detainedAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, entered Latvia from Dublin, who is on the Police wanted list was detected. The man, born in 1980, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.
5 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Terehova and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia, 1 - of Belarus and 1 - of Ukraine were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 9 foreignersAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 3 citizens of Uzbekistan, 4 - of Kazakhstan and 2 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Kazakhstan and 1 - of Ukraine was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 7 persons - 3 citizens of Estonia, 2 - of Russia, 1 - of Belarus and 1 - of Lithuania.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 8 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia -2 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Tajikistan, 1 - of Kirgizstan, 1 - of Moldova, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Estonia.
