On Wednesday the 19th of August, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 34 offenders at external borders and within the country.
19 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
• 1 foreigner was refused entry into Latvia
At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner did not possess valid visa or residence permit. The person was returned to the exit country.
• Violations of resident conditions were detected to 4 foreigner
At the Grebņeva and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Russia and 2 - of Georgia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay specified for the visa or visa-free regime), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.
• 1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the country
At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia leaving the country for London, who was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. The woman was refused exit from the country.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 4 persons - 2 citizens of Lithuania, 1 - of India and 1 - of Georgia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 11 persons were subjected to administrative liability (or were refused to cross the border) by officials of the State Boarder Guard - 3 citizens of Belarus, 2 - of Russia, 2 - of Latvia, 2 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Estonia.
