On Tuesday the 20th of August, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 45 offenders at external borders and within the country.
26 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
1 person, who is on the police wanted list, was detainedAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, entered Latvia from Telavi, who is on the Police wanted list was detected. The man, born in 1950, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.
8 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the "Riga" Airport and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia (female) was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; 2 citizens of Azerbaijan, 3 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Moldova were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. While at the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 5 foreignersAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Uzbekistan, 1 - of Ukraine and 3 - of Kazakhstan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 2 citizens of Kazakhstan was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.
2 citizens of Latvia were refused exit from the countryAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 minor citizens of Latvia, who were not in possession of at least one parent's agreement for their independent travelling outside Latvia, were detected. The persons were refused exit from Latvia.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 7 persons - 5 citizens of Russia and 2 of Belarus.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 12 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Latvia, 3 - of Russia, 2 - of Belarus, 1 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Great Britain.
