On Tuesday the 21st of August, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 47 offenders at external borders and within the country.
29 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
2 citizens of Latvia, who are on the police wanted list, were detainedAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia entered from Hamburg and 1 - from Dublin, who are on the police wanted list, were detected. The men, born in 1989 and 1988, were detained and handed over to the State Police officers.
11 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Silene Border Control Point 3 citizens of Belarus were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 7 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. While at the Zilupe Border Control Point 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 6 foreignersAt the Zilupe and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 5 citizens of Russia and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 3 citizens of Russia was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 4 persons - 2 citizens of Moldova, 1 - of Latvia and 1 - of Russia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 14 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 8 citizens of Russia, 3 - of Latvia, 2 - of Belarus and 1 - of Georgia.
