On Thuersday the 23rd of August, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 46 offenders at external borders and within the country.
20 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
1 citizen of Latvia with forged documents was detectedAt the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, entered by car, who presented forged Latvian vehicle registration certificate, was detected. The criminal proceedings were initiated for use of forged documents.
2 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Iran were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The persons were returned to the exit country.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 7 foreignersAt the Zilupe, the Terehova and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 5 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Turkey, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Russia was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.
1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from LatviaAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, who has a ban to leave the territory of Latvia, was detected. The person was refused exit from Latvia.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 3 persons - 2 citizens of Azerbaijan and 1 - of Russia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 23 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 9 citizens of Russia, 5 - of Latvia, 4 - of Belarus, 2 - of Poland, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Czech and 1 - of Lithuania.
