On Friday the 24th of August, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 44 offenders at external borders and within the country.
25 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
5 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points and as well as at the Riga Passenger Terminal 2 citizens of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, 1 citizen of Belarus, 1 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Uzbekistan were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners have a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. Regarding the citizen of Ukraine (a sailor) a letter of guarantee has been taken from the master of the vessel that the men will not get off the vessel during its stay at the port, while the other persons were returned to the exit countries.
At the Silene, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Belarus, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Columbia and 1 - of Uzbekistan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by the citizen of Uzbekistan was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.
At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. The person was refused exit from country.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 8 persons - 4 citizens of Lithuania, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Ukraine and 2 stateless persons of Estonia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 11 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 6 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Ukraine, 2 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Latvia.
