On Saturday the 24th of August, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 42 offenders at external borders and within the country.
25 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
1 foreigner with forged documents was detectedAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Iraq (female) entered Latvia, who presented forged Iraqi Citizen Passport with Norwegian Residence Permit, was detected. Criminal procedure was initiated for the use of forged documents. The person was placed into a State Police short-term detention facility.
7 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Terehova, the Grebņeva and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 1 citizen of Moldova, 1 - of Kazakhstan and 2 - of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; 2 citizen of Ukraine were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Georgia was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the countryAt the Silene Border Control Point 1 minor citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of at least one parent's agreement for her independent travelling outside Latvia, was detected. The person was refused exit from the country.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 17 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Russia, 4 - of Lithuania, 4 - of Latvia, 2 - of Ukraine and 2 - of Belarus.
