On Sunday the 25th of August, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 45 offenders at external borders and within the country.
24 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
5 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Silene and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; 1 - citizen of Russia and 1 - of Israel were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners have already resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. While at the Pāternieki Border Control Point 2 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 12 foreignersAt the Terehova, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 4 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Jamaica, 2 - of China, 3 - of Kirgizstan and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 2 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Jamaica, 2 - of China and 3 - of Kirgizstan was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 2 persons - 1 citizens of Lithuania and 1 - of Russia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 19 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Russia, 4 - of Belarus, 3 - of Latvia, 2 - German, 1 - of Moldova, 1 - of Denmark, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Kazakhstan, 1 - of Ukraine and 1 - of the Czech Republic.
