Events at the state border and within the country - August 28, 2018

On Tuesday the 28th of August, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 46 offenders at external borders and within the country.

23 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

7 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 5 citizens of Russia and 1- of Kazakhstan were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; as well as 1 citizen of USA was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 3 foreigners

At the Terehova and the Zilupe Border Control Points 2 citizens of Armenia and 1 - of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

2 citizens of Latvia were refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Latvia, who were not in possession of valid travel document, were detected. The persons were refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 10 persons - 6 citizens of Ukraine, 3 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Finland.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 13 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Latvia, 3 - of Russia, 2 - of Lithuania, 2 - of Italy and 1 - of Ukraine.
