On Thursday the 30th of August, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 52 offenders at external borders and within the country.
33 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
2 persons with forged documents were detectedAt the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, entered by car, who presented forged Latvian vehicle registration certificate, was detected. The person was refused entry into Latvia. At the Port of Ventspils 1 citizen of Lithuania with forged Lithuanian driving license was detected while carrying out profiling of passengers entered by ferry. The criminal proceedings were initiated for use of forged documents.
6 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Terehova and Silene Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia and 1 - of Belarus were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Pāternieki Border Control Point 4 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit country.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 7 foreignersAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), was detected. The person was subject to administrative liability.
1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from LatviaAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia (female), who was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. The person was refused exit from Latvia.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 6 persons - 4 citizens of Ukraine, 1 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Estonia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 13 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Latvia, 3 - of Moldova, 1 - of Poland, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Belarus, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Ukraine and 1 - of India.
