On Sunday the 2nd of December, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 28 offenders at external borders and within the country.
14 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
1 citizen of Lithuania with forged documents was detectedAt the Port of Riga, carrying out profiling of vehicles and passengers, 1 citizen of Lithuania, entered Latvia by ferry from Stockholm and who presented forged Lithuanian driving licence, was detained. Criminal proceedings were initiated for use of forged documents. The man was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.
1 foreigner was refused entry into LatviaAt the Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid travel document. The person was returned to the exit country.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 4 foreignersAt the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Ukraine and 2 - of Belarus, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Ukraine and 1 - of Belarus was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.
1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the countryAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 minor citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of notarially certified agreement of the parents for her independent travelling outside Latvia, was detected. The person was refused exit from Latvia.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 4 persons - 2 citizens of Lithuania, 1 - of Serbia and 1- of Kirgizstan.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 10 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Russia, 3 - of Belarus, 1 of Ukraine, 1 - of Serbia and 1 - of Latvia.
