On Tuesday the 4th of December, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 49 offenders at external borders and within the country.

36 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

16 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova and the Silene Border Control Points 2 citizens of Russia and 1 - of Belarus were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the "Riga" Airport and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 11 citizens of Georgia and 2 - of Ukraine were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 4 foreigners

At the Terehova and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia, 1 - of Argentina and 2 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by the citizen of Argentina was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

2 citizens of Estonia were refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Latvia (women), who were not in possession of valid travel document, were detected. The persons were refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 6 persons - 3 citizens of Belarus, 2 - of Russia and 1 - of Pakistan and 1 stateless person of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 7 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Belarus, 2 - of Russia and 2 - of Latvia.
