On Friday the 7th of December, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 29 offenders at external borders and within the country.
15 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
1 citizen of German with forged documents was detectedAt the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine, leaving Latvia by car, was detained for use of forged Ukrainian Driving Licence. Criminal proceedings were initiated for use of forged documents.
3 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Uzbekistan was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of visa or residence permit, and 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Albania was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and he was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 4 foreignersAt the Silene and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Belarus and 2 - of Uzbekistan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 3 citizens of Estonia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 11 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Latvia, 2 - of Uzbekistan, 2 - of Belarus, 2 - of Russia, 1 - of Estonia and 1- of Ukraine.
