On Sunday the 9th of December, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 39 offenders at external borders and within the country.
25 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
2 citizens of Latvia, who are on the police wanted list, were detainedAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Latvia, one entered from Doncaster and another - from Dublin, who are on the police wanted list were detected. The men, born in 1993 and 1976, were detained and handed over to the State Police officers.
5 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Silene and the Terehova Border Control Points 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid travel document; 2 citizens of Moldova and 1 - of Belarus were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of visa or residence permit. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Georgia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 5 foreignersAt the Terehova, the Zilupe, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Armenia, 1 - of Georgia and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.
2 citizens of Latvia were refused exit from the countryAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Latvia, who were not in possession of valid travel document, were detected. The persons were refused exit from the country.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 6 persons - 5 citizens of Lithuania and 1 - of Ukraine.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 8 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Latvia, 2 - of Belarus, 1 - of Ukraine and 1- of Estonia.
