On Monday the 9th of December, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 35 offenders at external borders and within the country.
18 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detainedAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, entered Latvia from London, who is on the Police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1990, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.
4 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Uzbekistan and 2 - of Azerbaijan were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and the foreigners were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. While at the Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner has already resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 5 foreignersAt the Terehova, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Kirgizstan, 2 - of Belarus, 1 - of Tajikistan and 1 - of Uzbekistan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Belarus was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 1 citizen of Armenia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 16 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Russia, 4 - of Belarus, 4 - of Latvia, 3 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Uzbekistan.
