Events at the state border and within the country - December 10, 2018

On Monday the 10th of December, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 18 offenders at external borders and within the country.

10 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

2 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Grebņeva and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 1 citizen of Kazakhstan and 1 - of Serbia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreigners

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Uzbekistan and 1 - of Moldova, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by the citizen of Uzbekistan was not commenced, the citizen of Moldova was subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 3 persons - 1 citizen of Lithuania, 1 - of Georgia and 1 - of Russia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 5 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 1 citizen of Russia, 1 - of Belarus, 1 - of Latvia, 1 - of Moldova and 1- of Uzbekistan.
